With the ever so increasing speed of the internet, it is as if there is a new earth, one that is smaller, accessable, where one can instantly get to almost anywhere on the planet, whether from viewing it from space through Google's eyes or from someone's streaming web cam. A while back when I had to work a way from home, I would watch my baby girl swing in her swing at home while I was at work, watch the live beach cams to see who's at the beach, and see the temperature using the internet. Now that is old news, speeds have increased and will continue to speed up using the grid. I enjoyed it but can't wait for what is next. Instead of viewing it on a small screen I believe it will be simulated in a media room with realtime video of my family, temperature simulations and even wind simulations based on realtime data of the weather of the location being simulated, and conversations will be in real room simulation meaning I can hear everyone at once, even my voice. Unlike cell phones of today that cancel out the callers voice when you speak, I hate that. Soon there will be very little reason to travel, cause if you can simulate anywhere and stay in a safe environment with your family, why go? Well you would probably argue, "I go to the beach to snorkel or surf, how do you simulate that" Well that is when you would go to the larger media rooms, kind of like theme parks, but image a chain of travel simulators where you go to Key West for the day, everyone there is also at keywest, tie the main simulation area with authentic foods from the area, simulated restaurants, night clubs with video streams from actual Keywest Clubs, so you can enjoy the local entertainment and provide lodging. Now take the money you saved on tickets or fuel and enjoy your vacation which will seem longer because you didn't spend two days of it traveling.

Are phone books and printed newspapers going extinct?
Recently after relocating to Orlando, I realized I had started service for all my home's utilities but forgot to have the gas turned on. The other utilities were easy, went online, completed application, and presto it was done prior to moving, but the gas, that was different because I was now in Orlando. So I immediately grabbed one of the many phone books that were at the new home, and after several minutes realized how the Internet (which wasn't schedule to be connected for two days) had been integrated into my life. First, I had several phone books to choose from and second, I had to figure out who provided the service for my subdivision? After a few more minutes, I went to the second most powerful source other than the Internet to find out who to call, I had my wife figure it out. So basically I wasted a lot of time and looked like an idiot to my wife. Bingo! that's why the Internet and search engines (Google) have become extremely important. Could you image relying on a book that only gets updated once or twice a year for current information? Or to have to rely on today's news that was actually written the day before and printed several hours earlier on paper? So, are printed phone books and printed newspapers going extinct? Yes, because news that is three to twenty four hours old is history. People want news right now, not tomorrow. So think of the Internet as a newspaper or phone book that gives you information that is current at that exact minute, not necessary correct, but current. And just as with newspapers, you want to be on the front page. That is why SEO services are so important, because people want information right now, not after searching five pages back on a search engine. And if your business can't be found on the Internet quickly than it will be extinct soon too.

SEO quote of the Day.
I am going to add the SEO quote of the day periodically, and today's comes from a seasoned SEO marketing professional I work with named James. I overheard him tell a client while on the phone, "if you ignore your website long enough, Google will too" That was probably the best way I have heard that point put, and is so true, old news is just that, old news.
What kinds of SEO Services are there?
SEO services range from organizing website content in a manor that is easily interrepted by a user and search engines, gathering credible links from websites along the same theme as your website, to submitting your website to internet directories, that is the simplified answer. However, companies who perform professional SEO services usually do much more like mod re-writes, redirects, sitemaps, RSS feeds and Blogs.

On-page verses Off-page SEO Optimization
SEO Experts have mixed opinions when it comes to on-page or off-page SEO services. I believe both of them are required but feel the on-page optimization is really starting to impact site rankings more than ever. Google strives for exceptional user experience, and to do that they take the website content even more serious, they don't want their rankings to be munipulated though clever linking campaigns. Which is why I think they downplay links from paid directories. So to sum it up, if you want location, location, location, you need content, content, content, fresh and unique.

Keywords Ratios - Higher is not always better.
When applying on-page SEO tactics, one should becareful of keyword ratios. Higher keyword ratios is not always better, and usually worse. Try to stay less than 4%, just image having a conversation with someone and they keep saying "know what I'm saying" every other word. While living in New Orleans I heard that exact phrase two or three times in a sentence, everyday, after a while, you just don't listen anymore, kind of what Google does when you do it to them with your website text.

Google constantly improves search results.
Google seems to be constantly improving their search results. This is great for users and if people who provide SEO solutions want to stay ahead of the game they need to think like Google. Basically, provide what users want, pay attention to your bounce rates, the average time users spend on pages, and readability.
Watch your bounce rates - eventually high bounce rate pages will take a search ranking hit. I think Google interprets it as why send a user their if they aren't going to stay.
Average time spent on pages - I feel Google will increase the value they put on this stat and increase rankings for pages that get read/viewed for more than a second, because they can easily do a word count and take into consideration on how long visitors spent on the page to determine if users are taking the time to read the content.
Readability - I believe this will start to weigh heavily because so many things are outsourced like reviews, posts, and content that websites with poorly written content, posts and reviews will suffer in the rankings because it will be seen as spam. Or as a novice author instead of an educated expert.
